id=\"tag0\">Choosing an image<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign in or sign up to Picmaker using your credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are on the Picmaker Dashboard right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s have a blank YouTube thumbnail artboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can either upload your own image or select from millions of stock photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use this search bar to quickly find an image that interests you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, images with diamond icons at the top right are premium and elite images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Premium images are available in the starter and pro plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elite images are in the pro plan at some applicable cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are in the free plan, upgrade to starter or pro to use high-quality premium image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set it as a background of the artboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double click on the image to position it on the board perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pro tip: adding a color tint to your image can uplift the text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the plus icon at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose a color that suits the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, I\u2019m gonna choose black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Play with transparency until u get your desired result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before adding the text, let\u2019s add more fun to the image using objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now your image is ready to add text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the text section in the sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can either use one of these text prebuilts or add a text from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ll show you how to use both options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag1\">Add a text from scratch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with adding text from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ve got 6 options in the sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t need to click on these options to see how it\u2019ll look on the artboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preview is already presented here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Big text is bigger than the headlines and headlines are relatively bigger than the titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, you can add body text, bulletins, and captions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these options, you can relieve yourself from choosing the font-size separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m gonna use the big text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To change the color, just click on the color at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose a font color that perfectly matches the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double click on the text to edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change the font using the drop-down menu at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tweak the other font style like bold, italic, underline, and text transform to spice it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you feel that the text color is not standing out, change the transparency of the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change the font size from here or manually change it like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s add another text using the text caption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advantage of text caption is it adds a you\u2019ll face while adding text to an image is the text merges with the image and makes it hard to read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blur the background I&#8217;m age so that the text is easily
