{"id":10069,"date":"2021-09-29T11:58:18","date_gmt":"2021-09-29T11:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/?p=10069"},"modified":"2022-06-23T09:27:11","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T09:27:11","slug":"how-to-collaborate-with-your-design-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/how-to-collaborate-with-your-design-team\/","title":{"rendered":"How to collaborate with your design team?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6VAw5t22M3M\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Team management is crucial &#8211; whether you&#8217;re working from home or office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to design, ineffective team management and miscommunication could be a disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this video, I&#8217;ll show you how to manage disparate designs across teams, projects, and clients using workspaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag0\">Signin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2870\" height=\"1414\" src=\"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Step-1-Sign-in-1.png\" alt=\"Sign in to Picmaker\" class=\"wp-image-10360\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For this tutorial, we\u2019ll use a do-it-yourself design software called Picmaker, which allows you to create stunning designs in minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign in or sign up to Picmaker using your credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag1\">Picmaker Workspaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2862\" height=\"1566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Workspaces.png\" alt=\"Workspaces\" class=\"wp-image-10503\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Picmaker workspaces offer a fast, reliable, and secure way for you to work on multiple projects with different design teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the dashboard, head to the sidebar and click on my workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here you can invite your team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just type in their email id and assign roles like member or admin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag2\">Team Roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2846\" height=\"1566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Team-roles.png\" alt=\"Team roles\" class=\"wp-image-10504\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An admin can add a team member, access your brand kit and add or remove logos, templates, and fonts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A member can edit and view your shared designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s not all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are in starter or pro plan and want to invite your team, you need to upgrade their account to starter or pro plan to access the workspace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that, they get access to your components such as premium templates, pictures, brand kits, icons,, and objects that are a part of your subscription plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, your whole team will get the combined benefits of paid features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, you get 50 premium images per month in the pro plan. After inviting a team member, you both can access the 50+50 which is 100 premium image credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag3\">Share designs with the team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2846\" height=\"1556\" src=\"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Share-designs-with-team.png\" alt=\"Share designs with team\" class=\"wp-image-10505\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To share designs with your team, click on &#8220;My Designs&#8221; on the sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you can see all your designs in the selected workspace at a glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can either share individual designs or share an entire folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the icon at the bottom right of a design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key in your teammate&#8217;s email id.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose either you want them to just view or edit the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, to share a folder, click on the 3 dots on the right side of a folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like how we did to share individual designs, enter the email id and send it to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The beauty of workspace is when you share a design, it will be added under the &#8220;Shared with me&#8221; section of the same workspace you and your teammate are sharing with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This lets you create and organize separate workspaces for different projects and clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag4\">Create a new workspace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2866\" height=\"1566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.picmaker.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Create-a-new-workspace.png\" alt=\"Create a new workspace\" class=\"wp-image-10506\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating a new workspace is as easy as eating an apple pie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the settings icon at the top right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the bottom, you will notice a plus icon with the text &#8220;Create Workspace&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you click on it, a new free workspace will be created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change the name of the workspace and invite your team from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides, you can even upgrade individual workspaces to our paid plans. That way, you\u2019ll never mix up designs for different teams, projects, and clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tag5\">Switch between workspaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure
